Looking for a smooth firearm transfer process? Let us help. We provide reliable, low-cost transfer services to help you receive your firearm safely and legally.

If you buy a firearm online, the seller can ship it to Tri-City Trading Post. We complete the required transfer process in-store so you can receive your firearm in compliance with all applicable laws.

Step-by-Step

How Online Gun Transfers Work

Purchase your firearm from another FFL online seller.
Choose Tri-City Trading Post as your receiving FFL (usually a zip code search, ours is 48430).
Have the seller ship the firearm to our shop with a copy of their FFL in the shipping box, your name and phone number.
We will send you an automated text once your firearm is ready for pickup.
Bring a valid state I.D. and either a CPL or License to purchase (acquired from the police station) if you are picking up a handgun.

Checklist and Before You Buy

FFL Transfer Checklist

Valid government-issued photo ID.
Order and seller details for your firearm shipment.
Any required permit or paperwork for your transaction.
Completion of transfer forms and background check.

Before You Buy Online

Have the seller include your name and phone number.
Confirm the seller includes a copy of their FFL in the box.
Wait for pickup confirmation before visiting the store.

Transparent Pricing

FFL Transfer Fees

Inbound Transfers $25 per firearm

This fee will not be refunded for returned or denied firearms.

Outbound Transfers

Please have the buyer's FFL agent send a copy of their FFL to tctradingpost@aol.com before arriving at the store. All firearms that are boxed must be left open on one end for firearm verification.

Boxed with label $25 per firearm

All boxed and labeled firearms must have one end left open for firearm verification. The label must match the shipping address on the FFL provided. If the firearm is a handgun, it must be two-day shipping and include adult signature required.

Boxed without label $35 per firearm + shipping

All boxed firearms must have one end left open for firearm verification.

Needs boxing and label $75 per firearm + shipping

You bring the firearm, we do the rest!

An exchange will not incur any additional fees beyond the initial transaction for the transfer. Fees will be taken at the time of firearm return.
